Collections

Every collection begins with a concept, a story, a feeling, a place. Our collections are portals to new artistic adventures, reasons to research deeply and let our minds roam. A chance for us, and our customers, to be swept away by something. They are to us what is the greatest luxury of our time; freedom, escapism, time.

Art Of The Night

AW23

A return to maximalism and the electric energy of the night. A celebration of those who come alive under darkness, featuring ephemeral flowers and the mystic owl.

The Lobby

SS23

Sorbet hues and ice-creamy linen. Inspired by the colour palettes and lounging choreography depicted in Deray’s iconic La Piscine.

Créme

SS23

Creme de la Crème. A calm summer capsule collection of classic stripes in soft neutral tones. Slightly nautical, very much suited to early evening holiday lighting.

Elements

SS23

Designed for the pleasure of earthly leisures. An ode to the four elements; to the sun, sky and the ground we all share. Experiments with prints created with the sun itself and a collaboration with the Ōshadi collective.

Rayas

SS23

Three tigers with different personalities, painted in gouache by Christian. Inspired by folklorish tiger depictions and a vintage Chinese leaping tiger stamp.

Home on the ranch

AW22

A collection of contrasts. The toughness of cowboys and the softness of lace. Rattlesnakes, wildflowers, bright dewy mornings and warm dusty nights. Beaten-up saddles and wide open skies. The rodeo. The slowdeo.

Summer Stories

SS22

Our first ever crowd-sourced collection. It all started with a chain email asking customers for anonymous summer memories. We translated the vivid and visceral tales — the bright light lights of Tokyo, cocktails in Palm Springs — into prints.

The Great Indoors

AW21

A collection designed to bring the outside in, capturing the spirit of New Zealand. Bright sunshine over glaciers, cold crisp air and warm feet, exquisite snow-decked mountains and the iconic rainbow bird.

Lowland Forest

SS21

A catalogue of intricate prints depicting the rare fauna and flora of Madagascar’s eastern ecosystem. Researched from London during lockdown, desperate to imagine ourselves in a heady palm paradise.

Poolside

SS21

Jet-setters, sun-seekers, and lovers of leisure. A sun-drenched collection with pastel linens and cuban cuts.

Ethereal

AW20

A Greek mythology-inspired collection. Featuring the Narcissus print, named after a chap who fell in love with his own reflection and melted into a flower. Leda, Circe and a print portraying the plight of Persephone.

Boyfriend Collection

SS20

An exercise in subtle seductiveness. A handsome collection that reimagined his wardrobe for her; a trio of thick cotton shirts with intricate top-pocket embroidery, soft cotton boxers, socks and and extra long tees.

Very very fine

SS20

Prints inspired by treasures collected by Molly and Joel in India. A scrap of fabric used to strain chai, wonky street signs, a Mumbai poster shop selling 1960s cinema posters, Marigolds on street corners and dancing in tuk-tuk windows.

Ernesto and brown

AW19

The many shades and icons of Mexico, photographed by Molly & Joel in Oaxaca and Mexico City, then translated into prints in London. Zocolo motifs, Sirena the mermaid and Chango, the monkey print that would go on to win everyone’s hearts.

In the studio

SS19

A tribute to the spirit and soul of an artist’s studio. The prints were painted by Molly in D&D’s first Battersea studio, inspired by different art movements. From the fierce brushstrokes of the Fauvists to the gentle painterly style of the expressionist print.

The Runaways

AW18

A collection dedicated to the wild abandon of Monaco in the 50s. Headscarves in soft-tops, Talented Mr Ripley love triangles, James Dean behind a newspaper at the hotel breakfast, a whole afternoon by a bougainvillea-speckled pool.

Le Jardin

SS18

The saturated colours and intense scents of Morocco. Light dancing through palms, Medina colours captured in a stripe, a wandering camel, pomegranates in the wild.

The wild ones

AW17

A collection dedicated to the wild abandon of Monaco in the 50s. Headscarves in soft-tops, Talented Mr Ripley love triangles, James Dean behind a newspaper at the hotel breakfast, a whole afternoon by a bougainvillea-speckled pool.

Safari

SS17

Inspired by the 60’s extraordinaire Grethe Hutt, an artist whose work carried her across Africa, capturing the mood and the culture of the land.
